Summary |
Technical Information: : Also available as the Shenandoah Classic Models JK, KK, arched baseframe. From the 1995 Brunswick Billiards Shenandoah sell sheet: The Shenandoah combines curvaceous, solid oak legs with a quality, rock-solid, base frame, premium slate, and a state-of-the-art finish that only further enhances the golden, rich-grained oak veneer finish. Exquisite styling and excellent engineering make this table a joy for any billiard lover. The Shenandoah boasts Brunswick’s exclusive Super Speed® cushions and a sturdy base frame with 1 ½" thick sills for the ultimate in playability. The Shenandoah is available in seven-foot and eight-foot home models and a nine-foot model, with the traditional pocket style. Rails: Oak-capped hardwood rails are supported by and bolted through the slate for maximum rail rigidity. Specially designed floating nut plate allows rail to be precisely positioned and permanently bolted down to the slate. Floating Nut Plate: Brunswick’s exclusive rail construction features three threaded metal floating nut plates positioned inside each of the six rails through a narrow mortised slot. This allows the rail to be precisely positioned and tightened down to the slate with far more torque than other methods. This is crucial for excellent performance. Base Frame: Constructed of 1 ½" thick side and end sills, two sturdy 'T' section cross supports, and decorative solid oak molding. Side and end dills have beautiful golden oak veneer finish. Machine nuts and bolts are used throughout for maximum stability and longevity. Cushions: Super Speed® cushions are precision molded to assure maximum accuracy and true ball rebound. Special canvas is meticulously monitored for consistent weight and weave. The canvas is vulcanized to the top surface of the cushion to assure that the angular rebound is consistent throughout the entire playing surface of the rail, regardless of the speed of the ball. This construction dramatically impacts performance of the cushion. Legs: Graceful spoon-shaped legs are solid oak and show off Brunswick’s legendary finish. Sights: Pearlized inlaid sights have a maximum tolerance of 30/1000 of an inch for accurate play. Cloth: Brunswick recommends a professional wool/nylon blend to assure excellent playability. Pockets: All pocket openings are made to exacting industry standards. Leather net pockets are #6 irons with leather covers. Slate: Three-piece, precision ground slate provides a permanent level playing surface. Slate is precision-machined level to within 10/1000 of an inch and extends underneath the rails for consistent play. Slate is ¾" or 1" thick and unframed. 1995 final published manufacturer suggested retail price: 7' with 1" unframed slate: $2360. 8' with 1" unframed slate: $2,460. 9' with 1" framed slate: $2,960.
