Summary |
Technical Information: From the 2002 Brunswick Cottage Grove Sell Sheet: Iinspired by classic "cottage" styles of the American South, the Cottage Grove also has much in common with Adirondack furniture, and is typical of elegant beach resort designs. Built out of select yellow pine, this table exudes a pure casual feel, with beautiful wainscoted side sills. The "casual style" is based on rustic American northwest and European "cottage" styles of the 18th and 19th centuries. Defined by lightly stained non-exotic hardwoods or pine, and unpretentious simple functional design. With its warm, comfortable appeal, casual styles feature broad planks reminisent of cottage beams and joists with mechanical ornaments and few curves. Design: Brunswick's beautiful Cottage Grove is a classic example of the Casual design style. With its many references to cornerstores of the "Cottage" school, it strongly conveys images of gentrified rural, plantation and resort architechture. Constructed of select yellow pine, the Cottage Grove table is presented with a rich cottage pine finish, features diamond shaped pearlized rail sights and is available in an eight foot model. 2000 Material Specifications: Rails, aprons, legs, base frame: Select yellow pine Sights: Pearlized High performance nut plates: Yes |
