Delray Playfield Adjustment Directions |

Summary |
Technical Information: There are adjustment rods built into the underside of each Shuffleboard playfield. These adjusters are used to manipulate the shape of the playfield. There are four to six adjusters on each Delray unit and each adjuster has three bolts, or tensioner points of contact. Very small adjustments need to be made over time to obtain the optimal playfield. Here are some general instructions to share with your consumer: 1. Turn each of the three bolts, on all six adjusters, clockwise until they are all touching the underside of the playfield. 2. Starting at one end, place a straight edge on top of the playfield above the location where the first tensioner is in place. 3. The ideal playfield shape is when the straight edge is in contact with the outer edges of the playfield and a single piece of paper can be slid under the center of the straight edge. If the center gap is too big, tighten the center bolt clockwise 1/2 turn and loosen the two outside bolts counterclockwise 1/2 turn. If the straight edge touches in the center and leaves a gap on the outer edges, tighten the outside bolts clockwise 1/2 turn and loosen the center bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. 4. Move the straight edge to the location of the next adjuster and repeat step #3. 5. After all adjustments have been made, wait 2-3 days while the playfield manipulates to the adjustments that were made and repeat steps as necessary. 6. Once playfield is in optimal playing shape, periodically check the playfield for levelness and ensure all adjuster bolts remain in a position where they are in contact with the underside of the playfield. This should prevent the playfield from falling out of the ideal shape. *It is important to make small adjustments over time and not large adjustments quickly. Making large adjustments may cause permanent damage to the playfield. |
