Technical Information: From the Brunswick Billiards Limited IX sell sheet, 1977: The ultimate in a luxurious home billiard table. Solid pecan with fruitwood finish, hand rubbed to perfection. Padded black cowhide leather covered rails and black leather pockets add to the overall elegance. Three piece matched, registered and doweled 1" full sized slate provides a permanent level playing surface. Brunswick Super Speed cushions, the standard of the industry, provide maximum accuracy and true rebound. Complemented by professional all wool Brunsco green cloth to assure long life; resist wear and tear. The Limited IX table is truly pocket billiards at its finest. A billiard table you will be proud to have in your home. Available in traditional pocket style only. Comes complete with a personalized crushed velvet table cover, Centennial cast phenolic billiard balls, deluxe cues, wood triangle, chalk and deluxe bridge. Available with or without matching hand rubbed pecan cue accessory rack with imported marble shelves and bead style score counter Finish: All finished wood is natural hand-rubbed pecan. Ball storage: Handy ball storage compartment built into table apron. Hardware is antique brass finish. Base frame: Solid wood base frame extends to the extremities of the slate and beneath the rails for maximum support. Construction: Solid laminated pecan wood used for maximum strength. All wood kiln-dried to resist warping. Stretcher: Solid wood constructed decorator-styled leg stretcher assures table rigidity. Rails: Hardwood rails covered with black genuine cowhide leather, with distincitive recessed markers. Rails are supported by and bolted through the slate for maximum rail rigidity. Specially designed adjustable nut plate allows rail to be pulled down permanently to the slate and allows precise rail positioning. Cushions: Brunswick Super Speed cushions are the standard of the industry providing maximum accuracy, true rebound and consistent play. Sights: Marched antique bronze finish sights have a maximum tolerance of 30/1000ths of an inch for consistent play. Slate: Three piece, matched, registered, and doweled 1" full sized framed slate provides a permanent level playing surface (lifetime slate guarantee included). Framed slate extends underneath the rails for consistent play. Slate is precision machined level to within 10/1000ths of an inch. Cloth: Professional green Brunsco 100% wool cloth to assure long life and resist wear and tear. Pockets: All leather net pocket webs are 100% leather, full regulation size. Pocket openings made to exacting industry standards. Base frame is assembled and leveled at the factory for maximum rigidity and flatness. Machine nuts and bolts are used for maximum stability.
