Technical Information: From the 1988 Brunswick Billiards Chateau sell sheet: Brunswick’s Chateau billiard table, elegant antique provincial styling, crafted from exotic Brazilian hardwood will be a fine addition to any home. Features: Specially designed #6 pockets accent the clean, simple lines of the Chateau. Three-piece, precision ground, one-inch framed slate assures a permanent level playing surface. Brunswick SUPER SPEED® cushions provide maximum accuracy and true ball rebound. Cloth is optional, however, Brunswick recommends a professional blend of wool/nylon billiard cloth to assure superior playability. The Chateau is available in traditional pocket style only. Rails: Solid exotic Brazilian Acoita. Rails are supported by and bolted through the slate for maximum rigidity. Base Frame: Base frame is constructed of solid Brazilian Acoita with two massive side and end sills, center beam and four cross supports. Nuts and bolts are used throughout for maximum stability. Construction: Solid hardwood construction for maximum stability. All wood is kiln-dried to resist warping. Sights: Pearlized inlaid sights have a maximum tolerance of 30/1000 of an inch for accurate play. Aprons: Attractively styled aprons are fastened to rails with decorative rosettes at attachment locations. Cloth: Cloth is optional; however, Brunswick recommends a professional blend of wool/nylon billiard cloth to assure excellent playability. Pockets: All pocket openings are made to exacting industry standards and feature leather nut pockets. Slate: Three-piece, 1" framed, precision ground slate provides a permanent level playing surface. Slate is precision-machined, level to 10/1000 of an inch and extends underneath the rails for consistent play.
