Summary |
Technical Information: From the 2003 Brunswick Billiards sell sheet on the Ashbee: A showcase of European styling, the intricately designed Ashbee is a return to Brunswick's heritage of inlaid tables which dates to the 1870s. The distinctive hand-inlaid details grace the aprons and sills of this exquisite table. The European style draws from English and Continental influences spanning the 16th through 19th centuries, encompassing Regency, Georgian, Louis XIV and others. The Revival of European styling resulted from growing middle class affluence during the 1920s, when people expressed interest in regal "old world" furniture. The European tradition exemplifies stately, aristocratic elegance, cerebrating organic patterns and complex wood grains. The heritage of Brunswick comes alive in the beautiful Ashbee table. Brunswick first produced hand-inlaid tbles from 1870 through the 1880s and then again from 1911-1930. The hand-inlaid designs of scrolling vines are made of walnut on crotch mahogany with thin lines of ebony. Constructed of exotic Brazilian curubixa, the Ashbee features an Original Mahogany finish. Choose from a uniquely designed tapered leg. Ball and claw, Queen Anne or Ram's head legs are also available. With mother of pearl diamond shaped rail sights, the Ashbee is available in 7, 8 and 9' models. The Ashbee has a matching wall cue rack available with a 2003 MSRP of $649. Ashbee 7' 2003 MSRP $5,129 Ashbee 8' 2003 MSRP $5,249 Ashbee 9' 2003 MSRP $5,749 |
