Summary |
Technical Information: From the 2003 Brunswick Billiards Sell Sheet on the Cosmopolitan: A modernistic interpretation of fine furniture from the 1920s and 1930s, the Cosmopolitan reflects today's contemporary design in its elegant, rounded elements. Warm and inviting, this table will be at home in contemporary and transitional style rooms. Contemporary style honors current living and values. From the 1990s to today, interiors are functional, physically comfortable and environmentally conscious and versatile to suit the hurried individual's idiosyncratic tastes and needs of the moment. Bright, airy and uncluttered, the style embraces white walls, blonde woods, fresh colors, sensual textiles, clean-line furniture and materials that are natural, recyclable, or industrial such as glass and steel. The result: eclectic yet cozy retreats from rast-paced pressures. Embracing the elegance and nostalgia of the Brunswick brand, the Cosmopolitan is a modern interpretation of tables from the 1920s and 1930s. Elegant, rounded elements featuring "bull-nose" corner sand curvatures in sumptuous Italian leather are complemented by beautiful cherry wood and dark metallic accents. Mother-of-pearl cat's-eye sights mimic the curves of the table. Constructed of natrural cherry rails and leather aprons, the Cosmopolitan is available in an 8' model. Thomas J. Newhouse, designer of the Cosmopolitan: Tom, formerly a designer with Herman Miller, Inc., has applied his award winning design style to products for Viking Range Corp., Miller SQA and Ovation Ambient Lights, to name a few. He is the owner/principal of an industrial design consulting firm in West Michigan that steers clients toward future trends in living and workspace produce design.
